David Brazil is a dedicated public servant and community leader in Newfoundland and Labrador, with a career spanning over 25 years in senior management roles within the provincial government. A graduate of Memorial University, CNA, and York University, he has extensive experience in employment, education, health, tourism, youth engagement, and infrastructure. First elected to the House of Assembly in 2010, he served multiple terms and held key positions, including Minister of Transportation and Works and Leader of the Official Opposition. Beyond politics, Mr. Brazil is an entrepreneur and active community volunteer, contributing to initiatives in poverty reduction, health care improvement, and economic development. He stepped down as MHA for Conception Bay East – Bell Island in December 2023 and looks forward to continuing his dedicated service and giving back to the province he loves in the years ahead as the next Conservative Member of Parliament for St. John’s East.
